The staff of Target International student Center is at the complete disposal of its students. We are frequently called upon for assistance in support of housing, health, immigration, travel, sightseeing and pursuing university study. Making your stay at Target ISC enjoyable is our top priority.
Target ISC requires that all full-time students have health insurance coverage. If you do not have a plan that specifically covers you while you are in the United States and require assistance obtaining health insurance coverage, a TISC staff member will be happy to assist you. We do also have our own student insurance plan which provides a full coverage for only $75 every four weeks.
We provide our students with an identification card which entitles them to student discounts in many area shops, restaurants, theaters, bookstores, and gyms.
Target ISC students are encouraged to use our free W-Fi and computers as well as our student lounge area to study, hang out between classes or watch the TV to get updates on local and international news.
Students can practice their English with the support of videos, educational websites and pronunciation and listening comprehension CDs on our computers before and after class as well. The lounge is a great place to hang out with friends, have lunch, write an email home or do homework!
Students can use Student Portal to track their educational progress and improve performance, either in a single course or throughout their entire school experience. Using Student Portal, it is easy to see at a glance how students are doing, what homework is due, and to get feedback directly from teachers on tests, quizzes, and assignments. Students are able to have their own access to their school information.
New student will receive access during after placement and orientation day. An e-mail will be sent to each student with a link to accept the invitation to the Student Portal. Once this link is accepted, students will be given a tutorial at orientation on how to maneuver their student portal. The following features will be available to students:
